หนัง Birth of the Dragon หรือชื่อไทยว่า บรูซ ลี มังกรผงาดโลก เหตุการณ์เกิดขึ้นในปี 1965 ช่วงที่บรูซ ลี เปิดสำนักสอนมวยจีนให้แก่คนขาวในย่านไชนาทาวน์ของชิคาโก ไม่กี่ปีก่อนที่เขาจะได้เล่นซีรี่ส์ทางทีวี และกลายเป็นซูเปอร์สตาร์ เขาต้องเผชิญหน้ากับครูมวยที่ถูกส่งมาจากจีนให้ยุติการสอนกังฟู การประลองดังกล่าวมีขึ้นอย่างเป็นส่วนตัว มีผู้ร่วมเหตุการณ์ 3-4 คนเท่านั้น
